Amy Szewczyk
Amy is the co-founder and owner of Senior Transitions of Austin, LLC. She knows the difficulty and overwhelming feeling that families face as their loved ones age and are no longer able to live safely in their own homes. She experienced this first-hand when her mother became ill and had to start making relocation decisions for her. It was all very overwhelming and stressful for her and her family. That's when Amy decided to follow her passion and help others in the same position. Amy graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance. Amy worked in the insurance industry as an Underwriter for many years as well as an AVID tutor for the Leander Independent School District. This program helps students develop academic and social skills that they will use in college and life in general. Both of these careers gave Amy qualities needed to be a Senior Move Manager; compassion, patience, and empathy. She has lived in the Austin area for over 30 years and enjoys her family, friends, animals, and her church.
